For the past three years, students at St. Anne’s have been immersed in the ISR STEAM Experiential Learning sessions, aligned to the NEP2020, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through hands-on projects and real-world problem solving. This foundation empowered participants to think like inventors and build like engineers.

The tournament drew enthusiastic participation from leading schools across Sehore, including Blue Bird High School, St. Mary’s Residential H.S. School, and Lourde Mata Convent School, among others. The event was inaugurated by Shri Prince Rathore, President Nagar Palika, Sehore, and Shri Sanjay Singh Tomar, District Education Officer, Sehore, and was graced by several distinguished personalities and principals of various schools who came to encourage and celebrate the young innovators.

“Every time I come to St. Anne’s School, I get to see and experience new innovations by the students. This time I see that students have innovated and brought soccer, which we thought was an outdoor game, indoors with the use of technology such as AI & Robotics. I congratulate the students and wish them success for the future,” said Shri Prince Rathore, President, Nagar Palika.

“I have witnessed such innovation by students for the first time. It is really good and I would like these students to take part in such competitions at the events organized by the Government as well” said Shri Sanjay Singh Tomar, District Education Officer.

Preparations for the championship began in September 2025, with numerous schools registering and students participating in a series of immersive workshops led by STEAM experts from International STEAM Research (ISR). These sessions equipped students with skills in robot building, coding, branding, and logo design. Each team created its own identity, designing unique logos and names, which added spirit and pride to their participation.

Spanning two days, 5th and 6th December, the championship saw fiercely competed matches as teams vied for a spot in the semifinals. After intense rounds, four teams advanced to the finals, demonstrating exceptional technical skill and teamwork. Ultimately, team ‘The Code Commanders’ from St. Mary’s Residential Higher Secondary School emerged victorious, earning the honour of being crowned champions. Team ‘Thunder Bolts’ from Lourde Mata Convent Senior Secondary School finished as runner-up.

“We are proud to have hosted the DaVinci SoccerBot Championship 2025 in our school, as it has inspired the next generation of innovators of Sehore,” said Sr. Alka Dabhi, Principal of St. Anne’s Senior Secondary School. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, seamlessly integrating academic rigour with experiential learning to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world.

“The true success of the championship lies in the development of essential skills such as collaboration, problem solving, communication, digital literacy, critical thinking and creativity. ISR’s unique experiential labs, known as ‘AI STEAM Lab’ encourage invention literacy and bridge the gap between textbook knowledge and practical application” said Ms Farhat Jabin, Senior Manager, International STEAM Research (ISR).

“Robotics competitions like the DaVinci SoccerBot Championship cultivate tech fluency, computational thinking and resilience, qualities essential for navigating emerging digital frontiers. Through hands-on activities, students learn mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, coding, design thinking, and strategic planning, fostering creativity and entrepreneurial temperaments” said Dr. George Panicker, Founder & CEO, International STEAM Research (ISR).

“ISR’s vision centres on inclusivity and affordability, ensuring that schools across urban and rural India benefit from educational advancements without barriers. ISR’s mission extends beyond competitions, cultivating lifelong learners and mindful problem-solvers, aligning with India’s National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By integrating futuristic technologies and experiential heutagogy, ISR ensures students are prepared not just for exams, but for life” added Dr. Panicker.

ISR, through its AI STEAM Lab experiential learning sessions in schools and innovation competitions for students, continue to set new benchmarks in experiential education, fuelling the aspirations of thousands of young innovators each year. As technology accelerates, such platforms become vital springboards for future leaders and inventors.

By championing hands-on AI-powered STEAM experiential learning, ISR is ensuring that the next generation is primed not just to follow technological progress but to shape it.

If you have any objection to this press release content, kindly contact pr.error.rectification@gmail.com to notify us.
